Job Description:**Responsibilities:**

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

1. **Instructional Support:**
* Delivering laboratory-related instruction.
* Evaluating student performance through grading of laboratory assignments and maintaining accurate records of student grades and course materials.
* Maintaining accurate attendance records for all laboratory sessions.
* Facilitating student access to and utilization of laboratory facilities during designated operating hours.
* Designing laboratory experiments with clearly defined learning outcomes.
* Providing assistance to students with laboratory-related projects.

2. **Laboratory and Inventory Management:**
* Managing the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, instructional media, and other materials utilized in instructional exercises and demonstrations.
* Communicating and coordinating with faculty, staff, and students regarding laboratory resources and procedures.
* Maintaining and updating the inventory of supplies, equipment, and other materials necessary for the daily operation of the laboratory.
* Liaising with vendors to coordinate new equipment training and ensure proper installation.
* Procuring laboratory materials.

3. **Health and Safety Compliance:**
* Ensuring strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations while performing assigned duties.
* Ensuring that all laboratory users comply with all applicable health and safety protocols.
* Ensuring the proper disposal of all waste materials in accordance with departmental and university procedures.
* Ensuring strict adherence to all safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory environment.

4. **General Support:**
* Assisting in the completion of course files and performing administrative tasks, including photocopying, correspondence, and proctoring.
* Providing support for student events, capstone projects, open days, and outreach activities for prospective students.

**Qualifications:**

* **Minimum Education:** Master’s degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry.
* **Minimum Experience:** Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience in a higher education institution.
* **Language Proficiency:** Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
* **Technical Skills:** Demonstrated technical knowledge in the operation and maintenance of various laboratory equipment.
