Tradeling.com is intended to become the dominant B2B marketplace for the MENA region by simplifying and enhancing digital B2B trade through a centralized, digital and safe procurement platform. Position Overview
If you are an experienced supply chain professional with a network design and supply chain cost optimization background – you might be a good fit to join the Tradeling Supply chain excellence team. This role is based in UAE and will be reporting to the Head of Supply Chain.
This role involves driving critical long-term operations decisions in a rapidly growing business with the involvement of cross-functional teams and senior leadership including the CEO/CFO of the organization. The candidate is expected to have exceptional analytical, planning, and written/verbal communication skills along with preferred experience in operations/fulfillment network design.
Responsibilities
Set up the process of monthly operations and financial planning process, involving all the key stakeholders (Finance, Operations, and Business teams)
Build the operations cost structure and allocation mechanism for different business units
Work jointly with the finance and operations team to build the key cost metrics and setup a monthly cost review mechanism
Work with the FC operations team to provide required inputs for the new FC layout design and inventory management within the FC
Develop the fulfillment network design for new country expansion including both FC and distribution center network
Work with FC and logistics operations team and manage the available capacity in the network. Identify initiatives to increase the capacity of the existing facilities
The role would require frequent travel to KSA and EGY on a need basis
