Job Description
- Coordinate with architects and engineering teams to develop structural designs and share with management for approval.
- Carry out calculations related to pressures, loads, and stresses the structures are expected to encounter and incorporate the inputs into the structural design.
- Create design documents and models for individual construction modules as well as overall structural plans using software modelling tools.
- Evaluate and select construction materials structural design calculations and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the civil engineering team and provide inputs for construction blueprints in alignment with finalized structural designs and project plans.
- Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations prior to construction work and highlight red flags to requisite stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and inspect work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
- Prepare and share engineering status reports with requisite stakeholders.
Skills
- Bachelor’s Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
