**Role Summary:**
The Store Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring profitability, maintaining customer satisfaction, upholding merchandising standards, managing store operations, and overseeing the training and development of all store personnel.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **People Development/ Human Resources:** Actively participate in the recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of high-caliber management and associates, aligning talent with store profiles and succession planning initiatives. Demonstrate leadership by example, providing comprehensive training, development, and ongoing feedback and coaching on product knowledge, sales techniques, visual merchandising, and customer experience delivery. Conduct regular staff meetings and daily briefings to review store performance, communicate company objectives and strategies, disseminate new procedures, and establish performance targets.
* **Customer Experience/ Sales:** Ensure exceptional customer service by consistently executing and achieving the defined Customer Experience through regular assessment, coaching, and follow-up activities with the team. Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor to address customer inquiries and support all sales-related functions. Implement visual merchandising standards, directives, promotions, and ensure overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.
* **Drive Sales & Profitability:** Achieve or surpass established profitability targets for the store, encompassing sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion metrics. Develop and implement strategies to maximize store sales and manage expenses effectively.
* **Operational Effectiveness:** Safeguard company assets by adhering to loss prevention measures, including consistent inventory management, meticulous tracking of inbound and outbound stock movements, sales, returns, exchanges, and proactive store maintenance. Execute and comply with all company policies and store procedures.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* Extensive experience in Sales, Marketing, and Operations, with a specific focus on the retail/brand management sector, preferably within the Fashion industry.
* Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, brand positioning, and current trends.
* A comprehensive understanding of prevailing economic conditions and the potential impact of threats and competitors.
**Qualifications:**
* **Minimum Qualification and Knowledge:** High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* **Minimum Experience:** A minimum of two years of experience as a Store Manager, with a verifiable history of driving sales and profit growth while effectively training and developing a team.
* **Job-Specific/Technical Skills:**
* Proficiency in business English (written and verbal).
* Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel & SAP) and detailed report analysis skills.
* Strong level of numeracy and literacy.
* Ability to perform some heavy lifting.
* Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
