Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated QA/Automation Engineer to be responsible for designing and implementing test plans to improve the usability of our products. The QA Engineer works with the development team to debug code, correct errors, and troubleshoot any issues with software code. A successful QA tester should be hard-working, have a knowledge of software code and testing methodologies, and be a team player.
Job Responsibilities
- Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology
- Provide input as required to the planning, requirements definition, and design process for new features, with an eye toward testability
- Write manual tests scripts necessary to ensure the operation and correctness of new features
- Perform front-end user acceptance testing for all new features
- Perform end-to-end regression tests in preparation for new releases
- Perform smoke tests to ensure successful releases
- Assist in identifying root cause of bugs
- Provide consistent communication regarding testing status to both the Engineering and Business teams
Skills
Skills (Required)
- Have good experience of Automation Testing and can create Automation Tests from scratch.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to apply those within a professional environment
- Highly attention to detail
- Ability to self-direct and apply critical thinking to problem solve as needed and appropriate
- Experience writing/executing front-end web/app application test plans/test cases, system testing, regression testing, and stress testing
- Experience with testing approaches/concepts, quality management, testing tools, software configuration management, issues management, and requirements analysis/documentation
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Desire and eagerness to learn
- Experience the following:
- Selenium, PHP, PHPunit GitLab/GitHub, Automated Regression Testing, Jira
- Agile Development Life Cycle
