Job Description
- Train and direct mechanics in general maintenance activities of the support systems, such as WSTP as well as in the operation and use of different related equipment and ensure their compatibility with other equipment. May provide help in setting up, adjusting, and operating equipment and tools.
- Install, move and repair sophisticated machinery and mechanical equipment according to relevant guidelines and manuals.
- Inspect machinery or mechanical equipment, identify root causes of malfunction and instruct/ participate in the corrective maintenance needed.
- Test the repaired parts and other related equipment to ensure the proper operation and the effectiveness of maintenance activities.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to prescheduled dates to the critical and sophisticated machinery and equipment and report the need for corrective maintenance if required to the foreman.
- Inspect and discuss the need for pads and equipment replacement in all WSTP, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, etc. with the Utility Maintenance Supervisor.
- Provide support in emergency cases and manage such catastrophic breakdowns of any machinery or mechanical equipment on time so as to ensure the continuous proper work condition.
- Perform other marginal duties which may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
