Job Description :

The Social Media Specialist position is responsible for managing the social presence of Awakening Music, along with the roster of Awakening Music artists. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for helping develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, as well as achieving and accelerating engagement goals by managing social media properties to super-serve both artists and fans.Manage social communication strategy across core social media platforms for the Label and Artists, as well as spearheading comprehensive digital campaigns for artists and management, from ideation to creation, to execution – including drafting copy and developing content to submit for approvals for posting, sending respective buy links, monitoring social activity, and scheduling postsManage Social Media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activitiesExecute and manage paid social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and various other outletsAnalyze social media campaigns and optimize for effectiveness (i.e. Maximum Reach and Engagement, Clicks, Views, A/B testing with content and copy, etc.)Generate weekly reporting on Label and Artist socials activity and growthMonitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategyManage the creation of all published content (images, video, and written).Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way.Develop and expand community outreach efforts.Prepare a report for management showing results (ROI).Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the business.Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns.Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.Identify and execute ways to acquire and engage new music fans around heritage artists via existing and emerging platforms like TikTok, Triller, Byte, etc.Approach Influencers and Brands for possible partnerships within the digital spaceStay informed of trending topics and social media trends to leverage and communicate accordingly

Job Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or MediaProven previous experience in the same position 3 years at leastFluency in English is a mustHave a love of music and the creative industriesStrong understanding of social media toolsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively multitaskSelf-directed, highly motivated team playerDemonstrate innovative and creative problem-solving skillsDemonstrate analytical skills, including oral and written communication skills to identify problems and objectives and convey information and ideas in formal and informal oral or written presentations.Thorough understanding of the ecosystem on various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. from a customer-facing and business perspectiveProven experience in booking online advertising campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.Proven ability to utilize data to inform the social strategy, including acquiring new fans, engaging them, and eventually leading to conversionExceptional oral and written communication skills and copywriting experienceGreat organizational skills and extreme attention to detailMust have the ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly to provided deadlines in a fast-paced environmentMust have great interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with the artists and work of Awakening Music Catalog is a plusAbility to successfully utilize, track and manage budgets and campaigns for multiple clientsA knack for writing catchy, suitable, attention-grabbing content for both PPC and/or Social AdsA strong desire to learn: The digital marketing landscape is always changing – our team stays up-to-date on the latest trends and updates so we can deliver the best for our clientsIT WOULD BE A MAJOR ADVANTAGE IF YOU ALSO HAD:Experience with photo and video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, etc.)Experience with booking online advertising within social networks.Experience with big media brands is a plus.Passion for music5+ years of Social Media/Online Marketing experience
