Job Description:**Senior Registrar – Internal Medicine & Nephrology**

The Senior Registrar in Nephrology is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical care within the disciplines of Internal Medicine and Nephrology. The incumbent will utilize their extensive expertise in these specialties to diagnose and manage a diverse range of kidney-related conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient consultations involving thorough history taking and physical examinations; utilizing video conferencing platforms for patient assessment, medical history review, and virtual examinations; developing individualized treatment plans encompassing medication prescription and patient education. The Senior Registrar will provide comprehensive consultations for patients presenting with various internal medicine and nephrology conditions, including but not limited to chronic and acute medical conditions, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, kidney infections, kidney neoplasms, and structural or functional abnormalities. The role also entails analyzing diagnostic tests to inform clinical decisions, engaging patients in discussions regarding their symptoms and concerns, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans (including medication management, specialist referrals, and lifestyle modifications), collaborating with patients to establish realistic treatment goals, prescribing appropriate medications and therapies, integrating evidence-based practices into treatment strategies, monitoring treatment responses and adjusting plans as necessary, and initiating referrals to higher levels of care when indicated. Furthermore, the Senior Registrar will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care, practice population health management, communicate effectively with patients and families, adhere to relevant medical regulations and ethical guidelines, maintain current knowledge of telehealth regulations and best practices, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate patient records. The Senior Registrar will also engage in ongoing professional development, mentor junior staff, and contribute to their professional growth.

**Qualifications:**

* Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
* Residency training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology from an accredited program.
* Board certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
* Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Senior Registrar – Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
* Demonstrated clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
* Commitment to providing high-quality virtual care.
* Proven experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of nephrology conditions.
* Comprehensive understanding of telehealth principles and best practices.
* Proficiency in utilizing video conferencing platforms and electronic health records (EHR).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to establish rapport with patients remotely.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to function independently and collaboratively within a team.
