Job Description
- Achieve creative, effective and cost-efficient design solutions throughout the design process that align with TRSDC’s corporate pillars.
- Utilize technology to enhance both the guest experience and operational efficiencies enabling Smart communities
- Build & maintain strong working relationships and collaborate with a diverse team, both internal and external.
- Liaise with and assist in managing Hotel Operator’s Technical Design Team.
- Assist in managing the consultant teams ensuring the design brief is executed and delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.
- Review shop drawings, bespoke items, sample rooms, finishes, etc. considering constructability, positive guest impact, operational value and short-term and long-term costs.
- Coordinate with consultant teams to maintain terms of contract
- Provide and demand the highest standard of work on all aspects of the position, company and development.
- Mentor junior team members
- Ensure work is clearly authorized and proper procedures are followed.
- Provide written project updates to upper management as required.
- Has sufficient design experience to take on a range of projects in a design lead role under the guidance of the Director &
- Associate Director.
- Prepare and implement an interior design review checklist.
- Lead the coordination for interior design drawings with all other disciplines. produce MoM and follow up with stakeholders
Skills
- Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture required
- Minimum 8 years progressive interior design experience; 4 years’ experience on hospitality projects required.
- Strong presentation skills and people/project management skills.
- Ability to create, lead and work in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM, InDesign, Sketchup, etc. preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally required
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment required
- Strong project management skills & ability to manage multiple priorities & resources
- Knowledge about innovation & trends both in & outside of industry with ability to connect the dots to influence innovative outcomes
- Ability to speak up, share ideas and listen with curiosity
- Ability and interest to go both deep and wide in a variety of subject matters
