The individual is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) and materials, encompassing selection, sourcing, and procurement. This includes: coordinating with design teams; managing budget expenditures; developing accurate forecasts; and ensuring timely project deliverables. The individual will execute all FF&E material selections and purchasing activities in accordance with architectural and interior design specifications, and will prepare comprehensive FF&E datasheets and furniture bills of quantities. Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for fostering communication with multiple vendors to secure competitive pricing, maintain adherence to project timelines, and coordinate all related financial matters with the finance department. They will translate client vision into detailed design descriptions and briefs with a focus on furniture, lighting, and artwork selection, and will develop practical mood boards incorporating design concepts, material samples, and inspirational imagery. The individual will actively participate in the development or modification of architectural and furniture distribution plans, and will prepare comprehensive design briefs for client approval. Additionally, they will participate in concept design phase preparations and presentations. Client communication, including meetings, will be undertaken to ascertain project requirements. They will coordinate supplier presentations, manage the acquisition of supplier catalogues and samples, and maintain an organized sample room. Preparation of material samples for client submission will be a key responsibility. Attendance at coordination meetings will be required to address design materials and FF&E-related issues. The individual will prepare and review furniture shop drawings and will monitor the manufacturing of FF&E items. They will update and maintain the FF&E library, prioritizing daily tasks according to project deadlines. This role includes selecting specifications and providing illustrations/samples for furniture, finishing items, decorative light fittings, fabrics, carpets, and related items. Serving as a point of contact for clients and vendors on all FF&E matters is also a key responsibility. Finally, the individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining a department library comprising supplier logs and samples, as well as FF&E quotation and drawing formats.
