Job Description:**Subject: Senior ELV Engineer Position – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia**
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of ELV systems across a diverse range of engineering projects. This role requires close collaboration with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure projects are executed in accordance with technical specifications and client expectations.
**Responsibilities:**
**General Responsibilities:**
The incumbent is expected to execute all duties and responsibilities with proactive engagement, possessing the requisite skill, care, and diligence, while acting in good faith and upholding the best interests of the Company. The incumbent will provide reasonable assistance to the Project Manager/Direct Manager pertaining to their discipline in securing necessary permits, licenses, and certificates from relevant authorities. Proactive evaluation of issues arising during design compliance reviews relevant to the discipline is required, along with supporting key stakeholders in their resolution. The incumbent is responsible for the timely completion of compliance review reports for assigned design review projects, adhering to established deadlines.
**Specific Responsibilities:**
The incumbent must possess a comprehensive understanding of Saudi Building Codes, NFPA 72, NEC, NFPA 101, and NFPA 110, in addition to other applicable standards and codes concerning Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation, Two-Way Communication, and emergency and exit lighting systems. Expertise in the design and construction supervision of fire alarm and emergency communication systems is essential, demonstrated through experience on complex projects and relevant training and certifications. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, and other pertinent documents to verify compliance with local and international regulations. A further area of expertise is required in security systems, including design review of complex projects to ensure compliance with Ministry of Interior (MOI) requirements and relevant international standards. The incumbent should possess in-depth knowledge and experience in security risk assessment, security strategies, and threat analysis. Competency in evaluating security specifications, communication protocols, plans, reports, and calculations for compliance with MOI requirements and relevant codes/standards is necessary. The incumbent must review and evaluate the compatibility of all systems and components, ensuring seamless integration. Knowledge of design and construction supervision pertaining to Building Management Systems (BMS), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), disabled toilet alarms, radio communication systems, etc., is expected. Comprehensive knowledge of the scope and requirements of the Works relevant to their discipline is required for supervision and review, ensuring adherence to the Works schedule and compliance with Project Documents. The incumbent will review and approve documentation in consultation with the Direct Manager, promptly identifying and highlighting any discrepancies, unworkable elements, or missing details related to their discipline. Proactive resolution of potential issues related to quality, compliance, and design is required. The incumbent will provide comprehensive support and assistance on assigned projects. Supervision and validation of construction Works relevant to their discipline are required to verify compliance with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and specified quality standards. The incumbent will report any gaps, inadequacies, or errors in the design documents that do not conform to local and applicable international regulations to the Direct Manager. Preparation of compliance reports, trackers, and checklists for assigned projects related to ELV systems is also a responsibility.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in ELV engineering.
* Extensive knowledge of engineering systems, technologies, principles, codes, and practices.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational skills, coupled with robust problem-solving capabilities.
* Proficiency in relevant software programs (MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit/BIM).
* Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certification is highly desirable (Professional or Consultant classification).
* Valid and transferable Iqama is mandatory for non-Saudi applicants.
* CFPE/CFPS certification is an asset.
