Job Description:The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: participating in project conceptualization and design; developing and implementing mechanical maintenance schedules for machinery and utilities, including but not limited to firefighting systems, doors, and reach trucks, in coordination with the maintenance team; proactively mitigating machine/utility damage and minimizing downtime; developing and executing rapid response plans for unforeseen malfunctions, ensuring preventative measures are implemented to avoid recurrence; procuring and managing necessary spare parts inventory; providing training and guidance to technicians to ensure successful project completion; overseeing spare parts and equipment stock levels; requisitioning required spare parts for machinery and utilities; supervising Draftsman activities related to the fabrication of new machine/utility components; overseeing the installation of parts within machinery/utilities, ensuring technicians adhere to proper installation procedures; ensuring the quality of all machine/utility, equipment, and plant maintenance operations, including those performed by external contractors, are compliant with established standards; ensuring adherence to approved budgetary constraints for maintenance plans and expenses; complying with all relevant safety regulations; installing, maintaining, and repairing electromechanical equipment; diagnosing and troubleshooting electromechanical problems; interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams; fabricating and assembling electromechanical components; utilizing hand and power tools; working with various materials, including metal, plastic, and electronics; maintaining accurate records of work performed; designing and drafting electromechanical systems; calculating loads and stresses; selecting appropriate materials and components; and conducting simulations and testing.
