Site Name: Pakistan – Sindh – Karachi Posted Date: Jul 18 2022 Job Purpose: The Sr. Demand Analyst provides a specialist service to the Demand Data Analytics Manager and the Regional Demand Forecasting lead. The purpose of the job is to ensure the most appropriate use of statistical models and other inputs to develop a robust, un-biased and comprehensive baseline sales forecast across an assigned Therapy/SKU portfolio. The Sr. Demand Analyst prepares analyses, reporting, and KPIs for own and across all Therapies to provide to the Demand Data Analytics Manager(s). These activities are performed across multiple markets that are managed from the relevant virtual or physical Demand Forecasting hub. The Sr. Demand Analyst is responsible for driving improvements in baseline forecast accuracy and contributing as a result to improved customer service and lower working capital. Education & Experience: BBA/Bachelors in Maths/Statistics/Engineering Minimum 1-2 years practical experience in running Demand Forecasting and/or analytical processes, ideally in a Pharmaceuticals environment including interaction with Commercial Sales / Marketing operations. Experience of an FMCG environment is beneficial. Key Responsibilities: Develops in collaboration with the Demand Data Analytics Manager(s) appropriate forecast models to support forecasting of the existing SKU portfolio as well as the launch of new products or line extensions Ensures that the statistical baseline sales forecasts are completed in line with the agreed planning calendar and that the optimum forecasting models are applied to each SKU within the Therapy Provides detailed, timely forecast reporting across multiple markets and assigned Therapies for input to Forecast Review Meetings, Demand Review Meeting, and ultimately feed into Country/Regional/Global S&OP. Responsible for the administration and update of APO and/or legacy forecasting systems and tools with respect to forecast models, SKU data, forecast data entry and validation. Works with the Demand Data Analytics Manager to incorporate relevant sales and marketing information on promotions, competitor activity and other market conditions that will result in an increase or decrease of the projected sales. Also responsible for documenting these assumptions. Develops and applies exception reporting to enable identification and management of forecast accuracy impacts and month-to-month forecast changes. Uses multiple data sources such as IMS, Distributor sales, stock movements and Ex Factory-shipments etc to generate insights to drive improvements to forecast accuracy. Provides analytical support to the Demand Planning Managers, Regional Demand Forecasting Director/Manager, and cross-functional teams as required.
