Sales Specialist

Job Description




The Sales Specialist implements sales strategy, new business/membership/client development, retention of clients/members, negotiation of contracts, and identification of business enterprises and relationship management strategies.




2.1     Implements sales strategies to enhance business growth.

2.2     Analyzes and evaluates sales areas for own services.

2.3     Qualifies, develops, and maintains thorough company and service knowledge, researches consumer needs, and identifies how our services can meet them.

2.4     Generates leads and grows existing relationships, maintains an accurate, detailed client book, and develops an active, repeat customer base.

2.5     Maximizes sales performance by establishing strong relationships and gaining insight into the needs and lifestyle of the client.

2.6     Adjusts sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field.

2.7     Seeks and meets the customers’ needs and/or channels in accordance with individual sales goals and/or objectives.

2.8     Maintains sales documentation to track performance to assist in future sales efforts.

2.9     Manages assigned prospects and/or clients using customer-focused selling techniques and cultivating stronger sales/membership/channel relationships through prospecting, lead follow-up, and relationship development.

2.10  Meets with current customers on an ongoing basis to maintain and expand upon existing relationships by evaluating changing client needs.

2.11  Ensures ongoing integrity of account information in client lists and/or databases; coordinates client mailings and communications.

2.12  Responds to external and internal queries.

2.13  Assists with preparing client presentations and proposals.

2.14  Participates in quality improvement activities, as needed.

2.15  Participates in committees as assigned.

2.16  Performs other duties as required.
