Overview of the role
To support store objective by delivering excellent customer service in line with store needs and to ensure the effective maintenance of designated sections/zone.
What you will do
- Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by your Manager keeping a basic image of the area (folding and displaying)
- Process sales, exchanges and refunds efficiently, accurately and quickly in all payment methods
- Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor when required and ensure that the Cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy throughout the day.
- Ensure that customers are acknowledged and receive a quality services either face to face or over the telephone
- Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging the stockroom efficiently
- Continually develop stocks knowledge and promotions throughout the store.
- Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.
- Follow and engage in the relevant training and development as set by your line manager.
- Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures
- To attend all relevant trainings pertaining to customer services and product knowledge
- Ensure that the store is adequately resourced across all the areas that are touched by legal compliance have a thorough knowledge of all compliance issues across the store and that the people involved are knowledgeable and fully trained
- Ensure employees are knowledgeable and always updated on SOPs
- Implement store self-assessment audits/reviews internal audit reports and devise action plans with the wider management team ensuing that actions are delivered
- To ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout all areas in the store and to communicate with the senior management team in case an accident happens
- To be aware of the risks of employees and customers are exposed to and to be aware of safe work practices and company procedures to overcome them.
Skills
What equips you for the role
- Previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience preferred
- Previous cash handling experience desirable Strong numerate and literacy skills
