Sales And Business Development Manager

Job Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of the products and services.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities through the identification of new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, and partnerships.
  • To build a sales pipeline
  • Identify possible new products and services to develop and sell.
  • Devise new ways for reaching the identified existing markets.
  • Seek out the appropriate contacts in potential clients’ organizations.
  • Generate leads, create a sales pipeline, and cold call prospective customers.
  • Prepare ahead presentations for the company and for each product
  • Conduct sales presentations, meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone.
  • Foster and develop relationships with current/potential customers.
  • Understand the needs of your current/potential customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan to meet these needs and resell other possible solutions and services.
  • Develop strategic business development/sales plans and set aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
  • Carry out the necessary strategic planning in order to implement operational changes.
  • Draw up client contracts in coordination with the technical and legal teams
  • Have a deep understanding of the products and services.
  • Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization and understand the need for change and what is required of them.
  • Receive calls from potential clients and follow up on leads generated from website and social media.
  • Train your team members on business development related tasks.
  • Discuss promotional strategies and activities with the marketing department.
  • Liaise with teams belonging to other departments as appropriate.
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates.
  • Attend and/or represent the company in seminars, conferences and events where appropriate.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
  • Plan for sales campaigns, prepare draft proposals and take care of (writing, standardizing, normalizing, keeping track of, etc…).
  • Draft MOM for the conducted meetings and record them in the CRM tool or in the company document management system.
  • Increase sales, negotiate pricing and follow up on billing and collections from clients on a sales level.
  • Carry out sales analysis and forecasts and present findings to senior management/the board of directors.


  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Development Senior or similar role.
  • Experience in leading a business development team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Excellent command of MS Office and CRM software.
  • Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English and Arabic.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent (a master’s degree in finance / CFA is a plus).
