Job Description

•     Develop Sales Plan to complement achievement of corporate strategy and plan.

•     Implement specific performance standards in key areas such as sales targets and evaluate performance against these standards.

•     Develop the sales methodology and schedule according to company strategy, project phases, financial requirements, and market conditions

•     Prepare sales information and effective proposals for potential customers

•     Negotiate and close agreements with potential clients /customers

•     Prepare periodic reports related to sales performance to update the achieved against planned objectives

•     Develop plans to increase the market share and gross profit, through attracting new clients /customers

•     Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is provided to customer.

•     Closely examine all sales accounts and continuously assess performance against the agreed targets / Key Performance Indicators.

•     Drive profitability through increasing sales & controlling costs whilst maintaining company operating standards.

•     Review pertinent research reports to develop sales in tune with the current market scenario.

•     Maintain rapport with key accounts through periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities in addition to measuring customer satisfaction and resolving any identified issues.

•     Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

•     Ensure that the sales policies and procedures documentation is up to date and is based on the current leading practices of the FMCG industry.

•     Ensure submission of accurate and timely sales forecast and related reports for budgeting and cash management purposes.

•     Ensure accurate and timely collection reports are prepared and submitted to Senior Manager – Sales for his review.

•     Provide statistics and market analysis to Senior Manager – Sales by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

•     Follow procedures of reporting on performance, budgets and other reports required periodically and ad-hoc by other functions in the company.

•     Ensure that overheads, costs and expenses are minimized by carefully controlling and utilizing all resources effectively.

•     Assign resources to the different regions within the country in a cost-effective manner.

•     Delegate authorities and responsibilities to direct reports in the event of absence to sustain operations effectively and efficiently.

•     Identify training needs of direct reports and coordinates with the HR Department for provision.

•     Develop staff by providing guidance as and when necessary.

•     Act as mentor to the staff and motivate them to perform at higher levels of performance.

•     Attend all the administrative matters of the sales (Leave, Promotions, bonuses, grievances etc.) and ensure smooth operations of the department.
