The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Recruitment Specialist in the Human Resources Department. Reporting to the Section Head, Recruitment and Immigration, the Recruitment Specialist must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Human Resources Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

The beautiful and culturally progressive State of Qatar is home to a robust TVET higher education institution, College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q). Established to meet the ambitious and visionary goals of the State of Qatar, CNA-Q is a partnership between the State of Qatar and the College of the North Atlantic in Canada. CNA-Q, a national technical college, fills the State’s need for graduates who have applied technical training in their fields of study.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual, who will provide input to the development of the yearly plan for Recruitment, as well as collaborate with the Recruitment and Immigration Section Head and all Department and School Heads to develop CNA-Q’s annual workforce plan.
Candidates will develop interview questions and assessment methods, conduct interviews as well as ensuring the use of the appropriate techniques and facilitating the hiring of the most suitable candidate. The candidate will also maintain a pool of qualified candidates for each position advertised from the applications that have been received.
The successful candidate will contribute to organizing and attending recruitment events and job fairs to meet with potential candidates and promote CNA-Q to the local and international market.
The successful candidate will develop conditional offers, acceptance/rejection letters and engage with candidates in a timely manner, in alignment with CNA-Q’s established policies and procedures and processes.
Responsibilities also include supporting the Recruitment and Immigration Section Head in the development of an overall Qatarization Plan, which includes Qatarization targets and determine which positions can be Qatarized. As well as developing a Qatari Talent pool, ensuring high-level candidates are sourced and managed.
The Recruitment Specialist will liaise with Government Agencies and Government Employment Portals to support Promoting the recruitment and retention of Qatari nationals.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree is required in Business Administration, HR or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Recruitment or related field
Fluency in written and spoken English is required
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is required
Other Required Skills:
Enthusiastic and ambitious team player with a high standard with a proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. The ability to think analytically and solve problems is required. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organizations is required. Knowledge of Labour Law and Legal Compliance is required. Knowledge of HR Administration and Relations is required. A Commitment to ongoing training and continuous professional development is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills.
