Job Description
• Coordinating with respect to QS of project consultant regarding the contractor invoices, cost breakdown, etc……• Prepares the preliminary cost estimates for the project’s cost as requested by the technical Manager.• Prepares the preliminary cost estimates for the project if requested, based on the released design and specifications. • Presents/discusses the quantities, and cost estimates with the technical Manager/Engineer for review before submitting the invoices to the project consultant. • Answers the project consultant questions and prepares the necessary corrections, if any.• Prepares the B.O.Qs and the final cost estimates for the project, at the end of the Engineering Production Phase, based on quantities calculated from the construction drawings.• Maintains current records of rates and prices of materials, labor and equipment.
Skills
• Knowledge of methods and procedures related to quantities calculations, estimating project/construction cost.• Skill in the use of computers, including Microsoft office.• Skill in applying a responsible attention to detail as necessary in preparing records, reports, and notices.• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Ability to perform material cost estimates for projects.• Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
