Ø Conduct lab tests, inspections and analysis of in-process materials, raw materials, finished goods, new & stability samples.
Ø Check raw ingredients for maturity or stability for processing, and finished products for safety, quality, and nutritional value.
Ø Test new products for flavours, texture, color, nutritional content, and adherence to government and industry standards.
Ø Interpret lab test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and record results/data.
Ø Analyse statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
Ø Inspect food processing areas to ensure compliance with government regulations and standards for sanitation, safety, quality, and waste management.
Ø Develop food standards and production specifications, safety and sanitary regulations, and waste management and water supply specifications.
Ø Develop new or improved ways of preserving, processing, packaging, storing, and delivering foods, using knowledge of chemistry, microbiology, and other sciences.
Ø Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
Ø Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
Ø Ensure that ISO, HACCP, GMP, CCP & HSE standards are practiced and maintained.
Ø Monitor & perform regular maintenance of production machinery and laboratory equipment by inspecting, calibrating, cleaning, or sterilizing.
Ø Serve as a technical liaison between quality control and other departments, vendors, or contractors.
Ø Write or revise standard quality control operating procedures.
Ø Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.
Ø Prepare and maintain complete documentation/records of testing procedures/ inspections and investigations.
Ø Conduct & Monitor testing procedures and ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
Ø Coordinate testing with contract laboratories and vendors as instructed. Review data from contract laboratories to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Ø Write technical reports or documentation, such as deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses.
