**Project Engineer – Retail Projects**

The Project Engineer – Retail Projects is accountable for the comprehensive management of retail construction and interior fit-out endeavors, encompassing planning, coordination, on-site supervision, and the assurance of timely and cost-effective project completion in accordance with established quality, safety, and design specifications. This position necessitates diligent collaboration with internal departments, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to facilitate the attainment of project objectives.

**Core Responsibilities:**

1. **Project Planning and Coordination:** The Project Engineer will contribute to the development of project timelines, schedules, and resource allocation plans. Coordination with architects, designers, and consultants will be required for the review of drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Furthermore, this role includes liaison with procurement and logistics personnel to ensure the timely delivery of materials.

2. **Execution and Site Supervision:** The Project Engineer will supervise daily on-site activities to verify adherence to project plans, monitor quality control measures, and ensure construction complies with design specifications. Additionally, the individual will identify and resolve on-site issues and technical challenges as they arise.

3. **Stakeholder Communication:** Consistent and effective communication with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other relevant project stakeholders is essential. The Project Engineer will participate in site meetings and progress reviews with both internal and external parties.

4. **Health, Safety, and Compliance:** Ensuring all work activities are conducted in full compliance with the organization’s safety protocols and relevant legal mandates is paramount. The Project Engineer will conduct site safety audits and implement corrective actions as deemed necessary.

5. **Budget and Documentation:** The Project Engineer will provide support in cost estimation and budgeting processes for assigned projects, track project expenditures to ensure adherence to allocated budgets, and prepare routine progress reports (daily/weekly/monthly) while maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

6. **Handover and Post-Completion Support:** The Project Engineer is responsible for facilitating the successful handover of projects to operations teams or clients and for addressing any post-completion defects or issues that may arise during the liability period.
