Canonical’s Product Management team comprises technologists passionate about delivering products and solutions that shape market demands while championing the widespread adoption of open-source software. We are currently seeking a Product Manager to join our Cloud Native team. Ideal candidates possess exceptional leadership, communication, and technical acumen, with the capacity to formulate and execute product strategies addressing future business requirements.

Juju, our open-source orchestration engine, empowers software operators to deploy, integrate, and manage application lifecycles at any scale, on any infrastructure, through the utilization of charms. Juju is currently deployed by clients, partners, and the community to orchestrate infrastructure and application deployments across various substrates.

This role entails responsibility for the commercial strategy and marketing leadership of our cloud-native operations product suite, encompassing:

* **Juju:** The open-source orchestration engine enabling software operators to manage application lifecycles.
* **Identity Management:** Defining authentication, authorization, and identity governance across Ubuntu One SSO and Canonical products.
* **Observability:** Strategizing the tracing and health monitoring of Canonical products and charms.

**Location:** This position is based remotely within the EMEA region.

**Responsibilities:**

* Lead product development lifecycles by reviewing priorities and goals.
* Collaborate with engineering leads to oversee the product development process.
* Work with cross-functional teams to address challenges, align priorities, make decisions, and maintain business execution.
* Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback.
* Develop your team through coaching, mentoring and training
* Establish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate it across Canonical
* Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement
* Contribute to the development of strategies to create and maintain high performing teams
* Contribute to the success of our sales team in winning new opportunities, by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings

**Qualifications:**

* Extensive product management experience in technical domains.
* Experience in designing or managing software operations for large-scale distributed systems.
* Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native technologies and enterprise security requirements.
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities in technical teams.
* Passion for writing about technologies and experience in the area of developer marketing
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
* Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events

**Desired Skills:**

* Experience with CNCF projects, identity or observability systems.
* Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and visionary leadership.
