Procurement Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of materials, components, and services for our engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, negotiation skills, and experience working with suppliers in the industrial or engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotation), analyze bids, and prepare comparison sheets.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and tender teams to ensure technical compliance of purchased items.
• Review technical specifications and ensure purchased materials meet project requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain approved supplier lists.
• Manage purchase orders, follow up on delivery, and handle discrepancies or delays.
• Work with the finance team to ensure proper documentation and payment processing.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for supplier improvement.
