Job Description
I. Main Accountabilities:
- Manage the day by day operation and maintenance of the plant.
- Follow up the scheduled activities of all the acting employees on the plant.
- Insure the best plant efficiency.
- Optimize the technical performance and the reliability of the process.
II. Level of Responsibility:
- Full Plant.
III. Level of Communication:
- Internal Communication: with all the employees
- External Communication: Suppliers, Subcontractors, Consultant, Client and official authorities.
IV. Detailed Job Description:
- Manage the operation and maintenance of waste water treatment plant.
- Supervise and distribute the daily task to the operation and maintenance team.
- Define the objectives of each operational structure unit.
- Initiates necessary measures to ensure the respect of the treatment guarantees.
- Defines strategy, work and planning priorities.
- Prepare & manage the budget and insure its respect.
- Manage emergency situations.
- Control and organize the on-call team activities.
- Work on the SPOT 2023 saving of Lebanon (using one2team platform)
- Work on sustainability ideas for Lebanon (green energy and resource sustainability)
- Work on REX platform (report a sharing experience)
- . Follow up the plant performance and the efficiency of its advanced section (tertiary treatment Filter and UV, sludge treatment and stabilization and odor treatment system).
- Manage the purchasing and control the purchasing procedure and the deliveries.
- . Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
- . Prepare and conduct audit on critical suppliers.
- . Manage surveys with critical suppliers in order to maintain a good healthy relation between

- . Train employees in discovering and applying working methodology and know-how.
- . Respect environment and rules in terms of recycling and energy saving.

- . Performs at least 6 MSV/year.
- Providing guidance and supervision to subordinates leading them towards their best productivity and monitoring an efficient plant operation.

- Environment: Wastewater treatment environment; work with water; exposure to hazardous chemicals, infectious waste.
- Physical: Sufficient physical ability necessary for standing, walking, bending and stooping for prolonged periods of time; control, or feel objects or tools. To work under adverse conditions, this may involve unpleasant odors. Travels in her / his perimeter. Must be available to handle emergency situations after hours, weekends and holidays.
- Vision: See in the near visual range with or without correction; the ability to see details at close range, color vision to identify chemical and biological solvents and substances.

Skills
- Education: A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in engineering, biology, chemistry, microbiology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years with at least 5 years’ experience in wastewater treatment sector.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Chemistry
Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
- Computers & Software
Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, mastering Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook…)
- English Language
Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: Read and comprehend English (policy manuals, memos, letters, books, journals, instructions, rules and regulations, etc.). Write reports and emails with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar.
- Mathematics
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Other Skills:
