Job Role:Prepares quality baked goods such as breads, pastries and desserts to specifications and amount listed on order sheetContinually develops and updates baked items on menusPrepares and orders food supplies as neededConsults with the Head Chef and makes suggestions for new and exciting baked goods to embellish the menuTrains pastry team members in methodology, equipment, and technique to create appropriate desserts, pastries and breadsApply and ensure application of procedures and regulations concerning hygiene and safetyFrequently communicates the status of all pastry food production to the Head ChefSupervises, monitors and delegates all, and extra, workload to subordinates
Skills
Requirements: 40 years old and belowAt least 8 years of experience in the high-end casual or fine dining setting required Proven track record of cost control including food, equipments, labour and wastage to meet the goals and the hotel’s financial goals Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
