Job Description
Pastry Chef Required
- Able to produce all baked goods including but not limited to artisan bread and rolls, laminated Danish, laminated croissants and doughnuts etc
- Able to develop, and create new ideas and items for the Pastry Kitchen.
- Ensures that all temperatures of equipment are within norm
- Responsible for storing and stocking raw materials
- Keeps a list of the needed materials on a daily basis
- Inspects quality during and after the baking process
- Maintains a hygiene work space, utensils and equipment
- Completes production sheets on a daily basis
- Trains and coaches all new hired employees and supervises their performance
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Builds solid relations with all employees to help optimize the time needed to accomplish tasks
- Has a passion and love for baking
- Able to work under pressure and is a competent team player
- Possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Skills
- Bakes from the heart
- Croissant and Pastry experience
- Experience in preparing and baking pastries/rolls and other baked goods
- Has the ability to learn new recipes
- At least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Maintain high quality control standards
- Ability to receive, stock and present deliveries to delivery company
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques and quality standards
