Job Description:**Option 1 (Formal):**
Draken Europe seeks a highly qualified Operations Controller to join its Flight Operations Team for operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This position demands a responsive, composed, and judicious individual capable of contributing to a dynamic and demanding environment.
The successful candidate will undergo initial training at a Draken operational base in the UK before deploying full-time to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the duration of their employment. Responsibilities include:
* Facilitating the effective execution of the flying program for all Flight Operations in KSA, under the guidance of the Ops Control Leadership Team.
* Coordinating all Draken Europe operational activities at the designated base, including deployed operations.
* Conducting legal and compliant aircrew and aircraft rostering.
* Establishing strong working relationships and maintaining effective communication with internal and external customer points of contact to ensure the safe and compliant delivery of contracted services.
* Serving as the primary point of contact for emergency response and implementing immediate actions as outlined in the company Emergency Response Plan.
* Undertaking out-of-hours callout duties for aircraft detached from the Main Operating Base (remuneration provided).
**Key Deliverables:**
* Accurate creation and publication of weekly flying programs, development of a monthly forward look, and integration of the Semi-Annual Plan into the planning framework.
* Providing support for weekly planning meetings with accurate data and forecasts.
* Maintaining and providing an accurate overview of Flight Time Limitations (FTL), duty hours, qualification status, crew leave, training requirements, and currency expirations.
* Forecasting and enabling planning of all operational requirements to prevent expirations.
* Initiating the Detachment Planning Process and supporting detachment planning meetings and site surveys.
* Proactively flagging operational delivery issues to the local management team and operational leadership team, along with potential solutions and mitigations.
**Essential Experience and Qualifications:**
* A minimum of three years of experience within an aviation environment (Military experience is desirable).
* Demonstrable academic achievement, typically reflecting a higher education standard (A-Level or equivalent).
* Knowledge of civilian and military aviation rules and regulations.
* Possession of SC clearance.
**Desirable Experience and Skills:**
* Knowledge of flight planning software, crew planning, and rostering systems.
* Exposure to both military and commercial aviation sectors.
* Experience in managing and controlling multiple resources within a dynamic environment.
* Proven record of managing change.
* Knowledge and experience of working/operating in the Middle East.
**Skills and Attributes:**
* Highly numerate with demonstrated analytical skills.
* Self-motivated and proactive with strong interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and proactively identify opportunities for improvement in overall business performance.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Articulate with the ability to build credible and trusting relationships with internal and external customers.
* Receptive to and understanding of the cultural nuances of the Middle East.
