Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To review and execute the planning, deployment, maintenance and support of network infrastructure technologies stack consulting with business and information technology peers to deliver fit for purpose and cost effective solutions on time and within budget across the bank’s data centre and enterprise networks.
Network Infrastructure Management
Define and execute the maintenance release plans for network infrastructure relating to the introduction of new or modified services in addition to software/hardware currency and security in order to deliver on business solutions and objectives
Identify, assess and recommend network resiliency improvement actions to Team Leaders and IT Management to ensure the recommended solutions are included in Network Improvement Plan
Design, implement and maintain network services across the Bank in order to ensure systems are available to the business
Identify, establish and maintain all documentation related to the network’s implementation, maintenance and operation to ensure compliance with required document control standards
Complete the analysis, planning, and execution in order to increase the volume of network change executed manually
Coordinate production applications/systems, analysing incidents, troubleshooting issues, identifying solutions and implementing updated releases in order to facilitate banking operations with minimal downtime
Track End of Life for all managed systems and upgrade accordingly to ensure systems are maintained to support banking operations
Organise and execute effective knowledge transfer with operations, peers and junior staff in order to maintain continuous learning
Produce system reports and statistics for senior infrastructure managers in order to support analysis and planning for technology capacity requirements
Vendor Management
Coordinate with external vendors to ensure services are provided as per agreed Service Level Agreement’s (SLAs) and Turn Around Times (TATs), reporting on discrepancies
Coordinate with current vendors to review product solutions to ensure they are suitable for current project design architecture
Project Management
Support project managers in change initiative projects, providing clear visibility of network dependencies and timelines by status in order to ensure timely delivery of IT services.
Coordinate the transition of new technologies and solutions amongst network engineering and network operations to ensure executed in line with agreed project plans.
Manage the identification and resolution of issues reported by business users by coordinating with internal staff and/or vendors and effectively leveraging escalation where necessary in order to ensure banking projects are delivered within planned timelines

Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the
required standard of service to customers and stakeholders

Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
Minimum Experience
At least 8 years of experience in designing, implementing and operating an enterprise class network in a medium organisation
At least 5 years of experience in network architectures, security, and best practices for an enterprise network
At least 3 years of experience in incident management and resolution, managing software releases and configuration management, banking operations and related problems
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Professional Qualifications
Cisco Certified Network Professional (Data Centre, Security, Route/Switch) or equivalent
ITIL – Foundation course for IT Service Management
Skills
Knowledge of Data Network technologies and protocols (i.e. routers, switches, network controllers, NFV, BGP, MPLS, QoS, DNS/DHCP)
Knowledge of Network Security technologies and protocols (i.e. Firewall, IPS, WAF, VPN, IPSEC, DDoS, NAT, 802.1x, SWG, UTM, TLS)
Knowledge of IPT and Unified Communications technologies
