Job Description:**Mathematics Teacher Position at The International School of Choueifat, Umm Al Quwain**

The International School of Choueifat, Umm Al Quwain, a member of the SABIS® global education network, is seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher. **Job Purpose:**

To facilitate student success and maximize their potential through the consistent application of the SABIS® curriculum, philosophy, and teaching methodologies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Deliver instruction utilizing provided lesson plans, and develop lesson plans based on pacing charts as required, employing the SABIS® point system.
* Evaluate student performance through the marking of examinations according to departmental schedules and guidelines.
* Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) to address student performance and disciplinary matters.
* Maintain a positive learning environment through the effective implementation of the SABIS® Point System.
* Administer examinations, ensuring a suitable and well-managed testing environment.
* Provide academic support and guidance to underperforming students to foster improvement and maximize their potential.
* Prepare students for external examinations by reviewing past papers according to a structured revision schedule, as applicable.
* Assist with school operations, including student supervision, teacher substitution, and administrative duties as assigned.
* Contribute to student life activities, such as art events, open houses, and physical education programs, in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC).
* Participate in training sessions as required by school management to enhance understanding of the SABIS® system and improve student performance.
* Undertake other related tasks and projects as assigned by school management.

**Ideal Requirements:**

* Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
* Proficiency in English.
* Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
* Demonstrated professional behavior and ethical conduct.
* Commitment to achieving results.
* Dedication to continuous learning and improvement.
* Accountability and ownership of responsibilities.
* Excellent communication skills.
