Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Cutter to join our team in Sabah as Salim, Kuwait. As a Master Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing fabric for clothing production. You will work closely with designers and pattern makers to ensure accurate cutting and efficient use of materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze clothing designs and patterns to determine cutting specifications.
- Measure and mark fabric according to cutting specifications, ensuring accurate dimensions and patterns.
- Cut fabric using various tools and equipment, such as scissors, rotary cutters, and computerized cutting machines.
- Inspect fabric for flaws, defects, or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
- Organize and maintain fabric inventory, ensuring efficient use of materials.
- Collaborate with designers and pattern makers to resolve any cutting or fabric-related issues.
- Provide guidance and training to junior cutters and sewing operators.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in cutting techniques and equipment.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Master Cutter or similar role in the clothing industry.
- Proficient in using cutting tools and equipment, such as scissors, rotary cutters, and computerized cutting machines.
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, properties, and cutting techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and cutting fabric.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
