Job Description:**Job Description**
DNV Maritime Area Middle East & Africa seeks a qualified candidate with approximately three to five years of experience in the offshore or marine industry to join its team of surveyors in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, due to business growth.
This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding team within a dynamic country, with diverse prospects in both conventional offshore operations and ocean space projects, including renewables and offshore tourism.
The Surveyor will report directly to the Country Manager.
**Responsibilities**
* Conduct surveys aboard mobile offshore units and operational vessels at shipyards and offshore locations.
* Travel to and perform work offshore, including vessel inspections in Bahrain, as required.
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the organization’s Rules, Regulations, Instructions, Guidelines, quality requirements, and line management directives.
* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients’ business information, processes, designs, developments, and documentation.
* Supervise the work of third-party contractors, when applicable, ensuring adherence to established standards and efficient, cost-effective practices.
* Attend training courses and qualification programs abroad, as per global training plans.
* Promote DNV’s services onboard and on-site, serving as a technical resource for customer inquiries, demonstrating a customer-focused approach.
* Support or serve as Key Account Manager (KAM) for business development activities with designated customers, if required.

**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering from a Technical University, or equivalent qualifications from a marine or nautical institution with relevant sea-going experience as a certified ship officer.
* Approximately three to five years of offshore experience with Jack-up rigs and/or marine industry experience.
* Mobile offshore experience is an advantage.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated and highly engaged professional.
* Quick learner with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
* Analytical, structured, and systematic approach to work.
* Fluency in English and Arabic (preferred).
