Job Description:Intertrade, a prominent Egyptian manufacturer of PVC gaskets, seeks to recruit a qualified **Maintenance Engineer**. The selected candidate will be accountable for maintaining optimal machinery performance, executing preventative maintenance protocols, and resolving mechanical malfunctions to minimize operational interruptions. Further responsibilities include monitoring maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing strategic maintenance initiatives, and coordinating maintenance projects.
**Principal Duties:**
* Conduct scheduled maintenance on production equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical failures affecting manufacturing machinery.
* Implement preventative maintenance programs designed to mitigate unscheduled downtime.
* Develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans to enhance equipment reliability.
* Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to maintenance operations, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians.
* Plan and oversee maintenance projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
* Collaborate with the production department to optimize equipment performance.
* Ensure adherence to all applicable safety regulations and company standards.
* Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, repairs, and associated cost reports.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1 – 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing for PVC Extrusion Lines.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
- Ability to read technical drawings and machine schematics.
- Experience in managing maintenance KPIs and implementing maintenance strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
