Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive logistics plans for construction projects including material deliveries, equipment movement, and site access strategies
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to schedule deliveries and maintain efficient workflow
Manage material handling, storage, and distribution at construction sites
Create and maintain inventory systems to track materials and equipment
Implement just-in-time delivery practices to minimize on-site storage requirements
Coordinate waste management and removal processes
Manage traffic control plans for construction sites in urban or congested areas
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for logistics operations
Resolve logistical challenges and bottlenecks that impact construction schedules
Negotiate with suppliers and transportation companies for favorable terms
Monitor and control logistics-related costs
Implement sustainable logistics practices to reduce environmental impact
Maintain accurate documentation for all logistics activities
Coordinate site security and access control measures
Skills:
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, logistics, or related field
5+ years of experience in construction logistics or supply chain management
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment
Experience with logistics planning, inventory management, and scheduling
Proficiency in construction management software and logistics tools
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple construction sites
Strong negotiation skills for vendor and supplier management
Experience managing delivery schedules and coordinating with contractors
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements for construction sites
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documents
