Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Legal Assistant who is fluent in English and Arabic, both written and verbal. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide crucial support to our legal team and assist with various legal tasks and projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in both languages, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and memoranda.
  2. Prepare and organize legal correspondence and documents in English and Arabic for internal and external distribution.
  3. Maintain and update legal files and databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  4. Coordinate and schedule meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements for the legal team.
  5. Conduct legal research and compile relevant information for cases and projects.
  6. Translate legal documents, emails, and other communications from English to Arabic and vice versa.
  7. Assist with the preparation of legal presentations and reports, ensuring accuracy of translations.
  8. Communicate with clients, external counsel, and other stakeholders in both English and Arabic.
  9. Provide general administrative support to the legal team, such as managing calendars, answering phone calls, and handling correspondence.
  10. Adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
  2. Proven experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
  3. Fluency in both English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
  4. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures in both languages.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  6. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  8. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  10. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
