Job Description
iCademy Middle East, an online school, is seeking a Learning Coach to work in our Knowledge Hub in Dubai Knowledge Park. This is a full time position, working with students in High School. Qualified applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and have demonstrated experience working with students in an educational setting. The hours are 8am – 4pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30am – 12:00 noon on Friday.
The Learning Coach’s responsibilities will include:
- Follow the curriculum in its entirety for assigned grade levels.
- Learn and use the resources available through iCademy.
- Enter in student progress and attendance daily.
- Prepare for the school day by visiting the advance preparation tab, printing out necessary documents.
- Actively participate in scheduled conferences with the assigned online teacher.
- Help and encourage student to attend live Class Connect sessions.
- Encourage students to attend and participate in clubs, virtual field trips, etc.
- Ensure academic integrity standards of iCademy Middle East are met.
- Liaise regularly with students’ parents and legal guardians regarding student progress and attendance.
- Develop an individual learning plan for students in collaboration with the other relevant stakeholders.
- Administer MAPS assessments to eligible students.
- Submit monthly work samples to online teacher and review teacher feedback with student.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- 5 years minimum experience, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- High School teaching qualification is a must
- Native (or near native) English speaker
- Experience tutoring or teaching children
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
