This role will contribute to a strategic project for Ma’aden, focused on developing a new gold mine and processing facility in Ar Rjum, KSA, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and Ma’aden’s 2040 Strategic Objectives.
**Responsibilities:**
* Integrate and implement Wood’s strategic objectives into practical HSE management concepts.
* Lead and manage a team of professional staff.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff in problem-solving, creative thinking, and project planning.
* Offer constructive feedback and coaching to team members.
* Establish and maintain a network of subject matter experts.
* Contribute to the development of annual departmental goals and objectives.
* Manage staffing and development of HSE personnel for the department and projects.
* Conduct performance reviews and administer salary adjustments.
* Organize and facilitate regular meetings with department staff to disseminate company information.
* Receive periodic supervision and guidance.
* Support the Business Development and Proposals department.
* Ensure the monitoring and compliance of HSE Management Systems.
* Guarantee adherence to audit protocols.
* Promote HSE best practices within the office and on project sites.
* Develop HSE project and departmental safe work plans.
* Support HSE presentations to both internal and external clients.
* Ensure HSE-related training is relevant to office and project requirements.

**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
* ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor certification.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:**
* Minimum of 10 years of HSE experience.
* Comprehensive knowledge of HSE standards and legal requirements.
* Proven experience in working within and managing a Quality and HSE Management System environment.
* Demonstrated supervisory or direct management experience of junior staff.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and proactively.
* Knowledge of internal and external audits, and third-party certification audit practices.
