Job Description
– Performs laboratory procedures i.e. hematology, biochemistry, serology, urine analysis etc. in the laboratory services department.
– Perform venipuncture on micro sample collection of blood samples, which include sole responsibility for insuring proper patient identification.
– Assist laboratory personnel in solving technical and proficiency problems.
– Perform preventive maintenance on all instrumentation and equipment.
– Review all proficiency testing results with the Chief of Laboratory Services.
– Assist in the accumulation of the laboratory statistical reports.
– Observe body substances isolation procedures at all times.
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of any work area in the laboratory services where assigned.
– Prepare, label, dispense and store all prepared solutions as required.
Skills
– Diploma from a recognized medical technology institute.
– Must have at least Two (2) year’s actual experience working as a general laboratory technician in a hospital setting.
– Arabic and English ability desirable. Should be familiar with modern laboratory testing equipment present in the Maghrabi Hospitals and Centers.
