Job Description:**Responsibilities:**
This position encompasses leadership and oversight of all aspects of Information Technology, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and adherence to industry best practices. Primary responsibilities include:
1. **Team Leadership and Development:** Direct and mentor a team of System Administrators, cultivating a high-performance environment characterized by innovation, accountability, and continuous professional development. This includes conducting performance evaluations, establishing objectives, identifying training initiatives, delegating assignments, managing workloads, and ensuring the prompt resolution of technical challenges.
2. **Strategic IT Planning:** Collaborate with senior management in the development and execution of strategic IT plans that support business expansion and operational effectiveness. This entails overseeing the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of emerging technologies, such as cloud platforms and automation tools, as well as developing and managing IT budgets to ensure the economical procurement of hardware, software, and associated services.
3. **System and Network Oversight:** Supervise the maintenance, configuration, and scaling of servers, networks, and security infrastructure, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and backup systems. Guarantee the high availability, optimal performance, and robust disaster recovery capabilities of critical infrastructure components. Furthermore, authorize and oversee significant system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
4. **Security and Compliance Governance:** Establish and enforce comprehensive IT security policies, conducting regular audits to verify compliance with relevant industry standards, such as GDPR and ISO 27001. Lead incident response activities in the event of cybersecurity threats or system breaches. Moreover, review and enhance data protection protocols, encompassing access control mechanisms and encryption methodologies.
5. **Vendor and Stakeholder Management:** Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage these relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective IT solutions. Serve as the principal IT representative for cross-departmental projects, effectively communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
6. **Operational Excellence:** Champion process improvements, automation initiatives, and comprehensive documentation to optimize IT operations. Resolve escalated technical issues and provide guidance on complex troubleshooting procedures. Ensure seamless IT support for all employees, including efficient onboarding/offboarding processes and appropriate resource allocation.
