Job Description: **Option:**
The incumbent will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of the organization’s IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, networks, and communication systems. This role entails rigorous system performance monitoring, ensuring robust data security, and implementing proactive cybersecurity measures to safeguard organizational IT assets. Provision of technical support to staff, resolution of IT-related incidents, and delivery of training on IT best practices and security protocols are also essential. Network infrastructure management includes establishing and maintaining wired and wireless networks, ensuring stable internet connectivity, and managing VoIP or other communication systems. Responsibilities further extend to the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, printers, and specialized software critical for operational functionality. Implementation of robust data backup solutions and disaster recovery plans is required to ensure data integrity and minimize potential downtime. The incumbent must ensure adherence to internal IT policies and external regulatory requirements, maintaining comprehensive documentation of IT assets and procedures. Coordination with external IT service providers and vendors for equipment procurement, maintenance, and software licensing is necessary. Prompt response to IT incidents, accurate diagnosis of problems, and application of effective solutions to minimize disruptions are critical. Finally, the role requires continuous professional development, staying abreast of emerging IT trends and technologies to recommend upgrades and improvements for enhanced efficiency and security.
