Diligent record-keeping, equipment calibration, and emergency response planning are essential. Further duties include recommending corrective actions based on environmental analyses, preparing safety equipment specifications, directing emergency operations, conducting worker health studies, providing safety training, inspecting fire suppression systems, and maintaining activity logs. Additionally, the professional reviews relevant documentation, consults with organizations on safety principles, prepares legal documents, conducts interviews regarding health violations, collects data on ecological and human health risks, tests HVAC systems for air quality, assesses hazards from new equipment and recycled products, educates the public on health issues, examines credentials for compliance, confers with stakeholders to develop health standards, and evaluates the impact of green building standards on worker safety.**
