Job Description:**Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities:**

This role encompasses comprehensive responsibilities related to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management, including:

* **HSE Management System:** Design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust HSE management system compliant with recognized standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and relevant regulations. Development, review, and periodic updates of HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence to best practices and evolving regulatory mandates. Oversight of the consistent application of HSE procedures across all operational areas and departments.
* **Risk Management:** Execution of comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential health, safety, and environmental hazards. Development and implementation of effective control measures and mitigation strategies to minimize identified risks. Leadership and participation in routine site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety standards and identify opportunities for enhancement.
* **Regulatory Adherence:** Continuous monitoring of local, national, and international HSE laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, Egyptian environmental laws). Ensuring full compliance of company operations with all applicable HSE legislation. Liaison with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and external auditors as necessary.
* **Incident Management:** Leadership and execution of thorough investigations of all HSE incidents, accidents, and near-miss events to determine root causes. Development and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions to preclude recurrence. Maintenance of accurate records of all incidents and submission of detailed reports to management.
* **Training and Awareness:** Development and delivery of comprehensive HSE training programs for all employees, including new hires, to cultivate a strong safety culture and ensure thorough understanding of HSE procedures. Promotion of safety awareness through campaigns, communication channels, and proactive engagement with employees at all levels. Coordination and participation in emergency drills and preparedness exercises.
* **Performance Monitoring:** Establishment and tracking of key HSE performance indicators (KPIs). Preparation of regular HSE reports for management, highlighting performance, trends, and areas requiring management attention. Analysis of accident/incident statistics to identify trends and recommend targeted improvement plans.
* **Environmental Stewardship:** Oversight of environmental performance, including waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation initiatives. Ensuring proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Promotion of sustainable practices throughout the organization.
* **Collaboration and Communication:** Effective collaboration with all departments, management, and employees to advance HSE objectives and ensure active participation. Establishment and leadership of a safety committee to foster a collaborative approach to HSE management. Clear and concise communication of HSE goals and information to diverse audiences.
* **Budget Administration:** Effective management of the HSE budget, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately for training, equipment procurement, and strategic HSE initiatives.
