Role Overview:

This is a great great opportunity for an early career HR professional to develop expertise in multiple HR areas while providing HR guidance and expertise to Supervisors and Managers in support of their people management activities. The role also provides an opportunity to build broad cross GBU, Region and country HR knowledge and experience as part of a global Service Delivery team. Is a key focal point and contact for Supervisors and Managers to assist with HR issues and resolution, and coordinates with subject matter experts across all the HR disciplines including L&D, Talent Acquisition, Staffing, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Data/Reporting and analytics
 

The work location for this assignment will be New Delhi.

 

Responsibilities:

Provides HR Advisory Services support, expertise and guidance to Supervisors and Managers including but not limited to:

  • Supporting Supervisors and Managers across all Global Business Units (GBU) to provide consultation and guidance for personnel administration activities
  • Engaging with specialists to manage and expedite requests and resolve queries for Managers and Supervisors
  • Supporting key annual HR programs/initiatives, such as the annual total compensation and performance management process, to deliver guidance and assistance to managers
  • Actioning people transaction activities by creating/managing HR Forms and ensuring accurate and timely completion of transactions in SAP and relevant systems
  • Providing guidance on the application and interpretation of HR Policy to managers in supervisors and escalates complex issues as needed
  • Demonstrates knowledge of HR policy/practices, guidelines, and regulations to monitor and provide advice regarding compliance with all employment laws, regulations, policies, procedures and processes
  • Collaborates and/or escalate across functions to solve problems, working with others to resolve significant issues, clarify or interpret complex information, and/ or provide initial problem definition and potential solutions
  • Proactively looks for continuous improvement opportunities and provides suggestions for making changes to streamline current processes/procedures
  • Performing root cause analysis on issues with varying degree of complexity to recommend and execute applicable solutions
  • Providing basic reporting data/metrics as requested
  • Maintains data integrity and handles sensitive and confidential information appropriately

 

Basic Qualifications:

Grade 22: Bachelor Level Degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 6 months of proven HR knowledge and experience OR 5 years overall related HR experience in lieu of degree

Grade 23: Bachelor Level Degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 2 years of proven HR knowledge and experience OR 6 years overall related HR experience in lieu of degree, including experience in 2 or more of the below areas:

  • HR Employee Benefits Administration
  • Staffing and Recruitment
  • International HR areas; expatriate assignments and relocation, immigration, compensation, and expatriate tax
  • HR employee service center experience
  • HR master data/systems knowledge within SAP/TalentWorks or other global HR systems
  • Talent Management – maintaining talent pools, Learning and Development, Performance Management
  • Total Rewards – Compensation planning/analysis
  • Employee Relations
  • Data analytics skills and abilities
  • Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Must have the legal right to work in country where the Service Delivery will be performed without visa sponsorship
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR Generalist with Bechtel or major multinational employer
  • Multilingual capabilities
  • Lived or worked as an expatriate outside of country of origin
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Office, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to exercise initiative and make decisions with little or no supervision and be accountable for such actions
  • Ability to work in a high-volume transaction environment
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean concepts and practices for process management
  • Mobility — available to travel or relocate to temporary or long-term project assignments if needed
