HEAD OF FINANCE
Job Overview: The Head of Finance plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the overall financial health of the company. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial management, and the ability to make informed decisions to support the organization’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights into financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by the executive team.
- Oversee tax planning, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and coordinate with external tax advisors.
- Manage the coordination and preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including executives, board members, and investors, to communicate financial performance and strategies.
- Evaluate financial aspects of potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships, providing recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial operations and systems.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Required) / Masters is preferred.
- ARABIC IS A MUST and ENGLISH
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Proven experience in strategic financial planning, analysis, and team management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to overall business strategy.
