IHS are seeking a Tax Manager to support the VP Group Tax based in Dubai. Taking ownership for group tax compliance and advisory (including international tax strategy), this is a great role and an exciting growing organisation to join especially in this period of expansion.
Core responsibilities:
- Coordinating group income tax reporting, including current and deferred tax provisions, ensuring full reporting under Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). This will be a key role which will involve liaising with group and local finance teams and working closely with the VP Group Tax.
- Monitoring group tax compliance including review of corporate tax returns, provisions and tax positions
- Coordinating group level tax filings including Country-by-Country Reporting
- Monitoring tax risks, and advising on effective tax rate and cash tax payments
- Providing tax advice for key transactions including mergers & acquisitions, disposals and integrations
- Maintaining group transfer pricing documentation
- Providing tax technical guidance to local teams on specialist areas of international tax
Key requirements:
- CTA/ACA Qualified or equivalent
- Experience in a big 4 environment is desirable
- Tax experience in multi-national complex environment
- Excellent Excel skills (the role will involve preparing and developing spreadsheets to support tax compliance; and training / reviewing other users of these spreadsheets)
- Experience in international tax advisory
- Tax experience in Africa and Latin America would be desirable but not essential
