Job Description
IDOM is seeking a well-rounded GIS and IT professional to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The GIS Solution Architect will be responsible for ensuring the technology and solution alignment within the various digital consulting and implementation projects undertaken by IDOM across the world, several of which would also include geospatial technologies.
- The individual should be able to lead project requirements gathering workshops, solution design workshops, system integration architecture, data model schema definition and develop resulting documentation.
- Ensure that all solutions comply with program wide technical design, coding, and security standards.
- As a technology expert, the individual is expected to have excellent awareness of new trends in digital, cloud and AI adoption across industries, and to suitably weave solutions to meet customer needs.
As a GIS Expert, the person should have excellent knowledge of the ESRI ArcGIS suite (Desktop and Server) and be able to undertake ArcGIS Enterprise implementations, including Geoportals, Field Apps.
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in software development
- Minimum 1 year as a solution architect leading solution architecture and design using diverse sets of development and GIS technologies and functional skills on large programs.
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF) is highly desirable
- ArcGIS Enterprise implementation experience, including administering/configuring/implementing/customizing Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online, load balancing, implementing HTTP/SSL for GIS web viewers, optimizing server performance, managing Reverse Proxy rules in IIS and more.
- Experience with RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Moderate proficiency with Python and ArcPy
- Experience integrating enterprise applications e.g. SAP, Oracle, CRM, IBM Maximo
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Prior consulting experience including significant interaction with clients
- Ability and willingness to create complete and detailed documentation (architecture, specifications, technical procedures, proposals).
- Willingness to travel 25% of time.
