Job Description
A financial auditor is responsible to reviews a company’s financial statements, documents, data, and accounting entries. Financial auditors gather information from a company’s financial reporting systems, account balances, cash flow statements, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and internal control systems.
- Verifies figures, documents, and account details for auditing, such as cash flow data, income statements, and tax returns.
- Provides financial control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Researches financial documents in preparation for the auditing process.
- Presents financial analysis to members of the auditing team.
- Plans financial audits from start to finish.
- Assesses risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance.
- Assists stakeholders in determining figures, valuations, and projections.
- evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with federal regulations.
- Identify the financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk.
- Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved.
- Determine ways to cut costs and improve profitability.
- Assess the efficiency and productivity of internal staff and make recommendations for improvement.
- Present findings to upper management in the form of reports and presentations.

Education and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting sciences or a related field
- At least 10 years’ experience as a financial auditor or analyst
- Exceptional understanding of financial rules and regulations
- Knowledge of accounting software such as SAP, Sage Pastel, or similar systems
