Job Description
- Ensure continuous evolution of overall events /exhibitions strategy evaluation, planning process, preparation and execution to ensure excellent and controlled execution Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the area of e/e
- Prepare and manage the yearly events [exhibitions budgets in line with Qatar Airways’ corporate strategy Prepare and secure budgets for assigned event and exhibitions and ensure effective use to avoid unnecessary expenditures. Ensure that all events, exhibitions and associated projects are executed within assigned budgets.
- Liaise with third parties such as event management companies, contractors, hotels, venues, organisers and suppliers to ensure all logistical and operational aspects of each event and exhibition combines to create experiences which result in best-in-class across the airline industry.
- Effective planning and execution processes to be followed to ensure optimum results through managing project plans and guidelines
- For each event, develop a detailed resource staff planning roster to avoid unnecessary deployment times and to maximize efficiency/productivity.
- Perform other departmental duties related to the position
- Ensure all projects are executed within pre-approved budgets
- Provide coaching to team members
Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum Qualification:
– min Diploma / Bachelor’s level or equivalent
2. Minimum Experience:
▪ Minimum 6 years relevant working experience
3. Job Specific Skills:
– Strong project management background
– Strong track record in developing, planning and executing successful events and exhibitions
– Experience of managing multiple vendors and multiple projects simultaneously
– Experience with budget forecasting and tracking
– Experience communicating at all levels of an organization
