Job Description
- Responsible for preparing and coordinating complete estimates for all the company Utility Infrastructure Projects including Civil, Mechanical, & Electrical activities.
- Review proposal specification, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to verify scope of work and determine the required contents of the estimate.
- Communicate with Vendors and/or Subcontractors to identify cost-effectiveness of projects to be bid.
- Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
- Review the final estimate and apply strategic cost factors where necessary .
- Ensure complete tendering management and submission to strict deadlines.
- Consult with Clients, Vendors, and other Stakeholders to discuss and/or resolve any estimations or design issues.
- Maintain the integrity and professional image of the Company.
- Coordinate with suppliers and assist in the improvement and development of the company’s tendering systems, procedures, and databases.
- Review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality and the availability of materials.
- Analyze and communicate to the projects team options for the most effective means and methods of construction.
- Support Projects & Procurement departments for technical compliance of the materials with the required contracts’ specifications.
- Monitor and manage all technical and commercial matters such as extra work items, change orders, amendments, discussions, and negotiations arising from both tender submission and awarded contracts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Management.
