The incumbent is accountable for ensuring all engineering and maintenance planning activities adhere to regulations stipulated by the MOH, Civil Defense, and local municipalities. This role contributes to the achievement of organizational objectives related to safety, operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, while also supporting quality improvement initiatives and continuous compliance with accreditation standards. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and transparent reporting and documentation for audits, inspections, and licensing purposes. The work environment is primarily within hospital buildings, patient-care areas, and offices, potentially involving confined spaces or work at heights during fixture installation or repair. Occasional lifting and handling of materials and equipment may be required. Flexibility in work schedule, including shifts and overtime, may be necessary to address urgent repair needs.

The incumbent is further responsible for adhering to all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions, and for promoting their implementation and adherence among colleagues. This includes contributing to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, with consideration given to leading practices, departmental process enhancement, cost reduction, and productivity improvement. Application of safety, quality, and environmental management policies is paramount to ensure safety, legislative compliance, service quality, and environmental responsibility. Building and maintaining trust and understanding with key stakeholders, both internal and external, is crucial for promoting full compliance with industry regulations and fostering a broader understanding of Dallah Health’s interests and practices.

Functionally, the role encompasses the development, updating, and monitoring of preventive maintenance schedules for critical hospital infrastructure systems. Planning and coordination of corrective maintenance activities are essential to minimize disruption to hospital operations. The incumbent is responsible for issuing work orders, assigning tasks, tracking progress within the CMMS, and assisting in the planning of engineering projects and facility upgrades. Coordination with supervisors and contractors is required to prepare work schedules, material requirement plans, and resource allocations. Ensuring alignment of planned maintenance activities with relevant safety requirements and supporting risk assessments for critical systems are also key responsibilities. Analyzing maintenance performance data, identifying recurring issues, preparing reports on work order status and KPIs, coordinating with stores and procurement, maintaining asset registers, serving as a point of contact between engineering planning and operational maintenance, and coordinating with other departments to minimize impact on patient care are all critical aspects of this position.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Facilities Management Engineering and a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in engineering planning, maintenance scheduling, or facilities planning, preferably within a hospital or large institutional setting.
