This global fasteners company is a market leader in supplying the oil & gas industry. They are seeking to add an experienced Engineering Manager, with previous experience in fasteners manufacturing, to join their management team, leading the engineering operations in Dubai, and working closely with the sales team. **Candidates relocating to the UAE welcome**
Your duties will include;
- Leading and developing a team of ( up to 15) multidisciplined costing, order processing and order entry engineers to develop new products, solutions, and processes.
- Driving a program of process improvement, streamlining the 360 processes from enquiry-to-order management.
- Work closely with the sales team to swiftly provide accurate costings for tenders, highlighting any engineering or discrepancies between the RFQ and specification for sales to discuss with the client.
- Undertakes project and contracts review, ensuing allocation of material to each order and next best solution when negatives/outages of stock.
- Providing expert advice on machining, supporting the manufacturing processes and production schedule and planning, and designs/refinement of product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Supplier and subcontract management
- Create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies and ensuring resource management.
- Attends trade shows and conferences and makes site visits to suppliers’ facilities; ensuring high level expertise in their field or sector.
- Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
Skills
To be successful in this role you will need;
BS in engineering
10 years and above relevant work experience in Oil & Gas industry.
Proven management experience is a must.
Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
Willingness to relocate to the UAE
You will need to be able to demonstrate; personnel and project management skills combined with expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes. As part of the Senior Management team you will be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, leadership, teambuilding, and mentoring skills.
Strong communication skills, dispute management and the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders is key. Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plus as is using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms
